normally to make tiramisu you use sponge finger in betwen the cheese layers, tapi kek tuh jadi lembik sket and you cant slice and serve it.. soo i use choc cake as the base and the top layer so that this cake nampak mcm proper cake.. xyah laa nak serve in small individual.. i use this half of this recipe ..
yaa all need...
250 g soft cheese or mascarpone cheese
1 whole elmlea double cream
essen vanilla
1 cup of hot black coffee without sugar
sponge fingers
icing sugar secukup rasa
1) bake the choc cake.. let it cold... kalu x cold, nanti cheese korang cair laa bile nak layer on top of this cake
2) use spring foam without it base as acuan, tau kan spring foam? alaaa loyang yg ade cam opening on the side yg mcm kunci tuh, kirenye kalu nak take ur cake off the loyang, you just open the side.. use a plate as the base instead, kirenye nanti bile korang bukak acuan korang, terus atas pinggan laa
3) cut the cake into half horizontally, ade kawan aku punye bijak aku ckp, cut into half, dia pegi potong secara menegak.. alahai cik adik camne nak layer kalu camtu.. bertuah nye bdak.. pastu letakkan cake tuh dlm acuan
4) dip ur sponge fingers in coffee and then layer them on top of the cake
5) beat cheese, cream, esen vanilla and icing sugar.. ikut korang, kalu nak manis lebeykan gula..
6) layer the cheese mixture atas sponge finger tadi
7) pastu letak another half of ur cake atas cheese, and repeat the layer again
8) dah siap keep it in the fridge overnight...
9) bila nak hidang just decorate it with cocoa powder..
so far i received no complain from my lovely 'guinea pigs' .. give it a try ok.. mmg best
